Fabulous fundraising for Macmillan
Residents at Thomas Regan Court got together for a lovely coffee morning recently which also raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The social occasion was a fantastic opportunity to meet neighbours for a chat and piece of cake and raised a magnificent £200 for the charity. The event wouldn’t have happened without the hard work of Fred and Linda who organised the day and welcomed other residents along.
The pair decorated the room with balloons and banners and were on-hand to make tea and coffee as well as provide the not to be missed cake.
Fundraising cake stall
The cake stall included a fabulous heart-shaped cake baked by Linda which sold out very quickly. There was also a raffle with lots of prizes to add to the fun. We’re grateful to Doreen’s son Frank, who donated £50 to boost the collection for Macmillan
The guests really enjoyed getting together to enjoy a cuppa and cake for a worthy cause. They were delighted with the amount raised which we agree was a brilliant achievement.
We’re looking forward to hosting similar events soon and raising more money for charity.
