At One Manchester, we’re changing how we work so we can better support our communities. Over the past year, we’ve listened to your feedback, looked at local data and learned from people’s experiences. This has helped us understand what’s working well in Ancoats and Beswick and where things could be improved.
This plan brings everything together. It sets out what we’ve learned, the priorities for your area, and how we’ll work with you and local partners to make positive
changes.
What is a Community Plan?
A Community Action Plan is a simple, shared plan for improving your neighbourhood. It brings together local information and what you, other residents and local partners have told us matters most in your area.
This plan runs for three years and will be reviewed annually so we can focus our time, money and partnerships where they’ll make the biggest difference.
Using your feedback, local knowledge and data, we’ve created this plan for Ancoats and Beswick.
It sets out clear priorities and actions we’ll work on making happen together with residents, community groups and partners.
How we've created this Plan
We’ve a lot of time listening to customers, community stakeholders and colleagues to gather as much insight as possible about your neighbourhood.
This has included:
- customer consultation sessions
- a customer survey
- workshops and meetings with local partners and stakeholders
- reviewing the data we hold about your area, along with census information
All of this has helped us build a clear picture of what matters most to you and your community.
We’ve used everything we’ve learned to create a clear roadmap for your neighbourhood, what we’re calling a Community Action Plan. This plan sets out the actions we’ll take in response to your feedback, along with the key priorities we’ll be focusing on improving in your area.
