At One Manchester, we’re passionate about creating a culture that everyone can be proud of. After all, why work somewhere you’re not supported to be yourself and do the right thing?
Shared values, shared vision
For us, it’s not just what we do that’s important to us, but the way that we do it too. We treat people the right way because that’s what we’re all about – whether they work for us or live in one of our homes.
We’re a values-led organisation and our values underpin everything we do.
Our shared HEART values and behaviours were crafted by our colleagues, for our colleagues (in consultation with customers). Each value is aligned with our expectations of how we will behave and interact with one another, and it’s the basis of what makes One Manchester such a great place to work.
Equality, diversity and inclusion
It’s important to us that our workforce is representative of the communities we serve, and that’s why we’re big on promoting and celebrating EDI.
We draw strength from our differences and are proud of our inclusive culture.
At One Manchester, we want our workplace to be somewhere where everyone can be themselves. Our colleagues participate in initiatives to raise awareness and understanding of EDI, and we commit to actively call things out when they’re not right. We celebrate the diversity of our colleagues, ensure all our people have a meaningful voice and get the opportunity to have their say about all thing EDI.
We have several ways you can participate in colleague-run events or share your views about things that happen at One Manchester.
Our Inc. Group is a collective voice that enables members to put forward ideas for change.
Colleague Voice Forum
Two-way communication between colleagues and senior leaders is a must for us.
Our colleague-ran group provides a safe space where colleagues can get together to share knowledge, hints, and tips about managing living with a neurodiversity.
We have a dedicated committee that’s given a pot of money each year to organise our social calendar and put on fun activities outside of work.
