Changes to our lift and electrical repairs
We've made changes to our lift and electrical repairs contractors
We've changed our electrical repairs contractor
We’ve been making some changes to our services to improve the service you receive from us. We’ve now introduced a new contractor, ABCA (Citrus Group), supporting our electrical services.
You may see ABCA carrying out:
- Electrical safety checks
- Emergency out-of-hours repairs
- Some day-to-day electrical repairs, supporting our electricians.
What does this mean for you?
You’ll soon start to see ABCA (Citrus Group) contractors carrying out electrical work in your homes and local area. When they visit, they’ll arrive in a branded vehicle, wear a branded uniform and carry ID.
You’ll also start to receive appointment updates directly from ABCA by email, automated text message and via letter.
Most existing appointments will still be completed by H-Lec where possible. As we move over to ABCA, there may be some appointments that need to be rearranged, for example following a missed appointment. If this affects you, ABCA will get in touch with your new appointment details.
Introducing our new lift safety contractor
We’ve also made some changes to how we carry out safety checks on our lifting equipment in customers’ homes. We’ve appointed a contractor, MAND PLS who’ll now carry out safety checks on hoists and step lifts in your homes. When they visit, they’ll arrive in a branded vehicle, wear a branded uniform and carry ID.
If you’re due a visit, MAND PLS will contact you directly about your appointment by email or automated text message, these messages will look slightly different to the ones you’ve received from us before.
Not sure who is at your door?
We understand that seeing a contractor you don’t recognise can be concerning. If you’re ever unsure about someone asking to enter your home after checking their ID, don’t let them in until you’re comfortable they’re genuine.
You can call us on 0300 355 1000 to check that they’re visiting on behalf of One Manchester.
