DWP restarts scheme to move benefit claimants over to Universal Credit

Posted | 5 May 2022

The DWP scheme to move all benefit claimants over to Universal Credit by the end of 2024 has re-started.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) scheme to move everyone who claims benefits over to Universal Credit by the end of 2024, has re-started.

If you claim benefits and you haven't been moved to Universal Credit already, then starting from 9 May 2022, you'll be contacted and asked to move to Universal Credit. The target to move everyone over to Universal Credit is by 2024, so you'll be contacted by then.
