An exciting, paid vacancy has just opened on our Customer and Communities Committee. Thesuccessful applicant as Committee Member will have a direct influence over how our services are run and be responsible for keeping us us accountable to our commitments.
This role offers a real chance to influence change at One Manchester. As well as being a Committee Member, you’ll also chair our Complaints and Performance Group, helping us learn fromcustomer feedback – and make meaningful improvements across our services.
What would I do?
The Customer and Communities Committee has a central role in critiquing our performance.
If your application is successful, you will:
- Review our policies making sure they’re fit for purpose and influence our upcoming plans
- Make sure we’re following our policies for the benefit of our customers
- Make sure we’re compliant with Consumer Standards
- Closely review our performance, especially Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs), complaints and repairs performances, and our alignment with Customer Voice
As Chair of the Complaints and Performance Group, you will:
- Review our complaints and our responses to them
- Provide us with recommendations and feedback
- Lead the Group in helping us sharpen our complaints procedures
What kind of time commitment is there?
This is a three-year position, with the option to renew for a second term for a maximum of six years.
Committee Members typically attend six committees per year. There will also be occasional training sessions, which are great opportunities for self-development that will help you make even more of an impact on your work on the Committee.
The Complaints and Performance Group also meets 4 times a year.
What would I get in return?
This is a three-year role for which the successful applicant will receive £5,500 per annum. All our Board and Committee Members are engaged on service contracts and are subject to PAYE deductions.
