A white snowflake in front of some festive lights

We’re excited to introduce our brand-new programme of winter social events coming up for you to enjoy!

The days may be shorter and the nights longer, but we’re here for you with lots to do to help you get creative, cosy, and access advice and support this winter.

Whether it’s learning a new craft or playing a game of bingo, our winter social events are all about offering you and your family a warm and welcoming space to enjoy this winter just around the corner from you.

Winter social events – what to expect

This winter, we’re teaming up with a number of local organisations to offer you these free winter social events at our Neighbourhood Hubs and an opportunity to get support from our teams.

Come along to our neighbourhood hubs where you can also enjoy a free hot drink, meal and a creative activity. Each of our Neighbourhood Hubs will offer the following exciting free activities:

  • Bingo – eyes down for some frosty fun, and you might even win a prize!
  • Macrame – using textile knotting techniques, make your own hanging basket and you’ll get to take it home with a plant to hang in it.
  • Music making and song session with local organisation String of Hearts – get your vocal cords ready for this session, join in and together we can make some sweet harmonies!
  • Crafting – we’ll be doing a range of craft activities, join us as we get creative, you’ll get to learn something new and craft up some magic whilst you’re at it.

Not only that, we’ll also have some raffle prizes and goodies for you to take home.

We’ll also have a range of colleagues including our Neighbourhood Officers and colleagues from other teams on hand to help with anything you might need support with. From money advice, tips on energy saving, tackling and reporting damp and mould, and accessing routine health checks, our colleagues will be here to help you get ready to face the winter!

You don’t need to book, you can just turn up for any of our social events! However, we’re limited to how many spaces we can offer, so make sure you get there early to avoid missing out. We don’t want to disappoint anyone, but once we’ve reached our maximum number, we won’t be able to offer any more spaces unfortunately.

We’re here for you
