Universal Credit - managing your money
As many people will see a change to the amount they receive in Universal Credit, it’s important to check you’re getting the most out of your money. We’ve listed some things to think about to make sure you know of the best deals and offers to make your money go further.
Budgeting
Working out how much money you’re spending each week is the best place to start. Any change in circumstance will require you to review your budget. With the energy price cap increasing and winter on its way, now is the time to make sure you’re not paying too much for your energy and household bills. By looking on comparison websites, you can find the best deals for your household bills including gas, electricity and broadband, plus sim and mobile deals.
By comparing and switching an energy tariff or supplier, some customers have saved £100-£200 a year. If you don’t want to switch suppliers, you can still contact your supplier to check you’re on the cheapest or most suitable tariff for your needs.

Water
