Calling all customers who’re keen to represent the interests of their fellow customers as a member of our Customer and Communities Committee.
At One Manchester, our Customer and Communities Committee plays an essential role, making sure that our services are well run, that we’re delivering on our promises, and achieving the best outcomes for our customers. Our Customer and Communities Committee members make sure that all decisions made by the committee and the board are made with our customers at heart.

They will also share our drive to make a difference locally, and will be dedicated to improving our communities and playing a part in making things better for customers.
What's on the committee's agenda?
- Listening to the Customer Voice; paying attention to what all customers say and using feedback to continuously improve and shape customer experience and services.
- Complying with the laws and regulations that protect customers, like the new Consumer Standards and the Housing Ombudsman's Complaints Handling Code.
The work that you'll do includes:
- Looking at our values and objectives and ensuring we have the policies and plans that we need to achieve those objectives.
- Making sure we’re treating customers fairly by following our policies.
- Reviewing One Manchester’s performance, checking how well we’re doing at meeting our goals, especially in areas like customer satisfaction and Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs), repairs, and complaints.
- Reviewing our compliance with the Consumer Standards and making recommendations to the Board.
Length of term
Our Customer and Communities Committee Members will be appointed to a three-year term, for a maximum of six years (2 x three-year terms).
Salary
In return for their hard work and time, our Customer and Communities Committee members will receive £4,350 per year. All our Board and Committee Members are engaged on service contracts and are subject to PAYE deductions.
