Make a real impact this summer

We’re committed to help keep your neighbourhoods clean and tidy, and our Grounds Maintenance and Mobile Cleaning teams work hard to make sure they do just that. However, you told us you wanted more opportunities to get involved, and we listened – which is why we've decided to add regular Clean-ups to our Events schedule this summer. 
 
Join our Neighbourhood Clean‑up in Rusholme and help give your local area a tidy. Our clean‑ups are also a great way to connect with your community, make a visible difference, and get to know your Neighbourhood Officer in person – as well as de-clutter your home using our free, accessible skips. 
 
What you can expect

Taking part is simple. Head to the meeting point, say hello to the team, and we’ll give you a quick briefing plus all the tools you need to get stuck in. A skip will be on site so waste can be safely removed — all you need to bring is yourself, anything you'd like to pop in the skip, and good energy.

A special clean-up crew 

Keen to do more to keep your neighbourhood tidy? We'll have colleagues from Manchester City Council, our Community Investment team, and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority join us on the day to chat about how you can make a real difference to your local area. They’ll be ready to go through how smart recycling habits can have a positive impact — and how reporting issues like fly‑tipping helps us keep your neighbourhood clean, green and welcoming for everyone.
