An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Employment and Skills team for an Employment Support Coach / Adviser to join us.

One Manchester is committed to providing excellent employer led, customer focussed, bespoke employability services which meet the needs of residents. In this role you will provide employment and training information, advice and guidance to facilitate and promote employment, work placements, volunteer and training opportunities in order to secure employment and training that has a positive impact on tenant’s lives. Working with service users in groups and on a 1:1 basis, linking in with employers and training providers to progress their journey into work.

With experience of working with unemployed people to help them on their journey into work, you’ll be able to manage a significant caseload and deliver against profiled contractual targets whilst maintaining customer service standards. Furthermore you’ll have the ability to work in partnership and develop the trust, respect and co-operation of a broad spectrum of clients and partners. Holding excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and advocacy skills, you’ll be able to influence employers and external organisations and plan and employment support activities.

Knowledge of the Green agenda and the challenges and opportunities within it would be a distinct advantage.

Due to the nature of the role you must be prepared to undertake occasional out of hours work including evening & weekends.
